Our Mission is to help Internet users to find information they are looking for on the huge Internet.
It is our goal to achieve this by providing a user friendly and simple search engine which provides objective and highly
relevant search results for text searches.
Our Technology
We have developed a very efficient scalable and parallel technology based on the linux platform, which can download and index tens of millions of pages a day.
We have downloaded 10 billion web pages and made a selection of the most interesting 2 billion which are included in the index.
Our Ranking Algorithm
Our ranking is based on about 50 different internal (the web page itself) and external (links and information from other web pages) aspects. But one of the most important ranking input is, what and how often other independent web pages say about a certain web page. The frequency determines popularity, but more important is, what they say about the web page and whether it is consistent. So a web page about hotels which has 10 links from sites about hotels will get a higher rank than a site about hotels, which has 10 links from web pages about random topics.
Pages that are considered spam will not be included in the index and pages linking to spam will get lower rankings.
User friendly interface
It is our objective to provide a very simple and user friendly user interface. We only provide text search services and we don't include advertising.
Webpage Submission
If your website is not listed this could have two reasons. We have not been able to find the site because there are no links to the site or it does not comply with our quality requirements. You can use our website submission service to suggest a URL.
The results are completely objective. It is not possible to buy higher rankings. However it is possible to buy a featured listing.
